Dave DeWalt

Dave DeWalt is chief executive officer (CEO) and president of McAfee, Inc. He joined the company in April 2007, and brings strong execution skills, a proven ability to lead top performing teams and an excellent track record in driving shareholder value.
DeWalt was most recently executive vice president and president of customer operations for EMC Corporation, where he oversaw customer operations worldwide including global sales and services. In addition, he most recently managed the Documentum content management business. Previously, DeWalt was the president of the EMC Software Group, a multi-billion dollar software division within EMC, where he oversaw business operations, product development and customer operations. Under DeWalt's leadership, the software business grew to one of the 10 largest software businesses in the world. DeWalt joined EMC in 2003 when EMC acquired Documentum, the global leader in content management software, where he served as president and CEO since 2001. DeWalt led the company through 13 consecutive record quarters and sold the company to EMC in a transaction valued at approximately $1.7 billion dollars.

He has worked in leadership positions (CIO/CISO/CSO) Fortune 100 organizations. Jeff also has international experience in the greater Mediterranean region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Jeff was awarded the 2007 RSA Conference award for Excellence in the Field of Security Practices. The Bardin-led security team also won the 2007 SC Magazine Award for Best Security Team. Jeff has served as the CSO/CISO for Fortune 500 firms and currently is an independent consultant for Treadstone 71. Jeff has published several articles, is working to publish his first book, and sits on information security advisory boards (ChosenSecurity / Allied Information Security). Jeff holds CISSP, CISM and NSA IAM certifications.

Art Wittmann has been Editor in Chief of Network Computing for the past three years, responsible for driving the brand's evolving print, analytics and events strategy. From 1996 to 1999, Wittmann was editor of Network Computing where he managed the day-to-day operations and authored the critically acclaimed "On The Edge" column on leading edge technology issues. His areas of specialty include high performance computing, wireless, network system design and management, internetworking, and business issues. He joined Network Computing in 1991.
Prior to his return to CMP in 2004, Wittmann was a freelance writer specializing technology assessment and vendor viability analysis for the Enterprise IT marketplace.
Wittmann holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
