Ken Vollmer, Principal Analyst
Forrester Research


Research Focus
Ken is a principal analyst in Forrester's Application Development & Infrastructure research group, covering trends, issues, and strategies related to all forms of integration, including business process management (BPM), enterprise application integration (EAI), B2B integration (B2Bi), and electronic data interchange (EDI).

Ken has assisted hundreds of clients in North America and Europe with their integration projects, drawing upon his knowledge of vendor offerings and emerging integration trends, including the latest developments related to Web services and SOA. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences on a wide range of technology subjects.

Previous Work Experience
Ken came to Forrester through its acquisition of Giga Information Group and has 20 years of management-level experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining Giga, he was the director of information systems planning for a large retail company, where he was responsible for evaluating the latest technology developments for potential use. He has held a wide range of IT management positions at Carrier Corporation and MONY Financial Services, as well as various positions in the logistics arena at John Deere.

Education
Ken earned a B.S. in management information systems from the State University of New York and an M.S. in information resource management from the School of Information Science and Technology at Syracuse University.



Colin Teubner, Analyst

Forrester Research

Research Focus
Colin primarily contributes to Forrester's offerings for the Business Process and Applications professional. He is a leading expert on human-centric business process management and support tools. He researches business process modeling tools, business rules engines, electronic forms, and business intelligence, particularly as these technologies relate to business process management. Additionally, he covers Web browser technology and related issues.

Previous Work Experience
Prior to the analyst role, Colin was a researcher at Forrester. He conducted research on a broad spectrum of topics related to information management, data management, business intelligence, and collaboration. In particular, he has had involvement with the Forrester Wave™ methodology and has extensive experience with Wave reports.
Colin has been quoted by leading technology and general news publications, including The Associated Press and Reuters.

Education
Colin is a graduate of Tufts University with a B.A. in economics and computer science.



Lou Bertin, CMP Custom Editor

Lou Bertin is a contributing editor to InformationWeek Online and is principal at Bertin & Co., an organization he founded in 1999. Bertin spent three years as managing editor/industry at InformationWeek, where he was the publication's primary face-to-face liaison with its 500,000 readers worldwide. Prior, Bertin was a senior vice president at Fleishman-Hillard in Washington, D.C, where he led government relations efforts on behalf of a variety of technology companies and consortia. Bertin also was a vice-president at Burson-Marsteller, New York.  Prior, he spent 10 years at CMP Media where he served in a number of editorial positions, most notably as a founding editor at Computer Reseller News. Bertin is a frequent speaker at industry events and is a regular commentator on CMP Media's TechWeb multimedia online service.



Rusty Weston, CMP Custom Editor

Rusty Weston is a journalist who specializes in the corporate use of business and technology services. Weston is Editor-in-Chief of a new magazine & media brand called Global Services, the product of a JV between CMP Media in New York and CyberMedia in New Delhi. The magazine and website (globalservicesmedia.com) launched in early 2006 with the Global Services 100, a unique study that identifies the world’s most innovative service providers. Reflective of today’s collaborative services environment, Global Services’ editorial and production teams are co-located in the U.S. and India. Prior to launching Global Services, Weston was the founding editor of Managing Offshore, a newsletter for global-sourcing managers and global project managers. A 22 year veteran journalist, until recently Weston directed InformationWeek’s editorial studies, including the InformationWeek 500, Optimize Executive Reports and the U.S.’s largest IT compensation study, among other products. In his ninth year at CMP Media, Weston has also managed InformationWeek.com, which received the Jesse Neal Award in 2001, one of the U.S.’s most prestigious journalism honors. In 2004 he founded Managing Offshore, a newsletter for global sourcing managers and global project leaders.
