Clyde Prestowitz, President, Economic Strategy Institute
Clyde Prestowitz is founder and President of the Economic Strategy Institute. His leadership has propelled ESI into an important role in the public policy process, influencing and often defining the terms of the debate in the areas of international trade policy, economic competitiveness, and the effects of globalization. Mr. Prestowitz has played key roles in achieving congressional passage of NAFTA and in shaping the final content of the Uruguay Round, as well as providing the intellectual basis for current U.S. trade policies toward Japan, China, and Korea.

Prior to founding ESI, Mr. Prestowitz served as counselor to the Secretary of Commerce in the Reagan Administration. There, he led many U.S. trade and investment negotiations with Japan, China, Latin America, and Europe. Before joining the Commerce Department, he was a senior businessman in the United States, Europe, Japan, and throughout Asia and Latin America. He has served as vice chairman of the President's Committee on Trade and Investment in the Pacific and sits on the Intel Policy Advisory Board and the U.S. Export-Import Bank Advisory Board.

Clyde Prestowitz regularly writes for leading publications, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, Fortune, and Foreign Affairs. He is the author of the best-selling book on U.S.-Japan relations, Trading Places, and co-author and editor of several other books on international trade and business strategy including Asia After the Miracle; Powernomics; Bit by Bit; The New North American Trade Order; and Rogue Nation. His latest book, Three Billion New Capitalists: The Great Shift of Wealth and Power to the East, deals with the economic rise of Asia and the upcoming rebalancing of the world economic order, and its impact on the United States.

Mr. Prestowitz has a B.A. with honors from Swarthmore College; an M.A. in East-West Policies and Economics from the East-West Center of the University of Hawaii; and an M.B.A. from the Wharton Graduate School of Business. He also studied at Keio University in Tokyo. He is fluent in Japanese, Dutch, German, and French. Mr. Prestowitz's latest book, From Losers to Winners: How Countries Can Become Competitive compares the economy of Israeli to Singapore, Taiwan, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. It is scheduled for release in the spring of 2008.

Srini Krishnamurthy heads the Global Sourcing function at the Hartford.  The scope of his responsibilities include outsourcing and offshoring programs across the enterprise (Life, Property & Casualty and Corporate) and across functions (IT, BPO and back office.)

Before joining the Hartford in 2004, Srini was managing vendors for Capital One’s offshore customer service program (across India, Philippines and Costa Rica.)  At Capital One, he was in multiple leadership roles in the company’s outsourcing and offshoring efforts. He helped the company identify sourcing opportunities, led sourcing strategy development and implementation for multiple large, complex projects and institutionalized vendor governance programs.  He also led the sourcing efforts for Capital One’s successful IT offshore program.

Prior to joining Capital One, Srini spent a couple of years at Bain in their Chicago office, as a member of teams advising clients on profit improvement, organization redesign and market entry strategies.

Srini also has significant sales and marketing experience in Asia (India, Singapore and Japan) and Africa with a Japanese equipment manufacturer and in his last role with them was regional sales manager for South Asia and Africa.

Srini has a MBA from the Harvard Business School in General Management. He also earned a Masters Degree in Economics and International Business from a leading institution in India.

Michael Zeigler is responsible for IS areas of financial management, process centralization, ITIL implementation, IS Outsourcing, Change Management, Measurement, Metrics, Benchmarking, IT Governance, Procurement, and Project Management Office of Micron. He started his career in Micron in 1989 as a software engineer focusing on factory automation systems and network- system management for the factory automation environment, and moved on to handle greater responsibilities such as Automation Manager, Manufacturing Software Manager and Boise-site IS Director. He was also involved in Micron’s Corporate Acquisition team.

During his 15 years consulting career, Eugene has been a senior advisor to F1000 enterprises on a broad range of issues related to services globalization.  He has worked with companies across key demand markets such as the US, Europe and Asia and across key supply markets that include India, China, The Philippines, Latin America and Eastern Europe.  Eugene’s core expertise lies in his ability to blend market knowledge, process expertise and industry best practices to deliver innovative solutions for clients.

Atul began his career in the healthcare segment of the outsourcing industry with a 48-year old healthcare services company, Rural/Metro where he rose quickly to serve as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and played a pivotal role in growing the $50 million company to $500 million in less than six years.  As a result of his success at Rural/Metro, Atul was recruited by Cardinal Health to lead their international businesses and global operations.  During his tenure at Cardinal Health(NYSE: CAH) as Senior Vice President of International, he led the international operations of the Fortune 25 Company.  Atul and his seasoned team at Cardinal expanded profitable operations to Australia, New Zealand, Spain, UK Singapore, Brazil, Mexico, Japan and other global locations.

Hoshie is the Managing Director of CMP-CyberMedia LLC, the publishers of Global Services. In that capacity, he is responsible for charting the course of the company. He works closely with the editorial team to set the editorial direction for the Global Services brand.

Hoshie comes to this company from CyberMedia, where he was serving as the Chief Editor and President, Publishing, and was also managing the company's subsidiary CyberMedia Digital as its President. Hoshie joined CyberMedia in 1987, and left the company in 1996 to join Mid-Day Publications, where he set up new vistas in media and niche publishing businesses. He also launched and ran The Brief, a leading publication for the advertising industry in India. He was back with CyberMedia in 1999 as Group Editor and Vice President, Publishing of the user magazines group of the company. He was entrusted with new responsibilities such as sales and marketing, finance and accounts and events for CyberMedia's publications such as, CyberMedia Digital and Global Outsourcing.

Melissa Tzourakis is Vice President of Global Operations for Ingenix Business Solutions. In this role, Melissa is responsible for executing IBS global business strategies, transitioning operations and implementing business transformation initiatives to leverage global talent and global capabilities to profitably grow the business and create sustainable competitive advantage for Ingenix.  Melissa joined Ingenix in 1996 as a Director of Product Management and has contributed in the areas of client management, operation and has held business unit leadership roles.  
 
Before joining Ingenix, Melissa was with Healthsource  and HMO headquartered in Manchester, New Hampshire where she was a corporate consulting lead in operational processes and  lead projects in employer reporting, process design and transformation, and healthcare data quality.

With more than 15 years of management and consulting experience, Chance has worked with a diverse range of companies and clients.  As a result, he has as a deep understanding of verticals, such as financial services, insurance, retail, healthcare, manufacturing, IT and biotechnology.  Over the years Chance has developed in-depth expertise in ITO and BPO, IT strategy and management.  He has led pursuits and managed engagements at many notable clients including CSAA, eBay, Fireman’s Fund, Genentech, Levi Strauss, Wells Fargo and Visa.

Prior to joining neoIT, Chance was a senior executive at Accenture’s Consulting and Global Outsourcing Services arm.  He also worked at Keane, a prominent global service provider and at The van Aatrijk Group, a boutique marketing firm.  Earlier on in his career, Chance founded or co-founded or co-founded various marketing and technology start-ups.

Chance received his bachelor’s degree in Advertising from San Jose State University and has an MBA from Saint Mary’s College.


Dean Davison, Vice President, neoIT

During his 18-year career, Dean Davison developed experience in both the supply side and the demand side of the services economy.  He worked for hardware vendors and service providers in marketing with responsibilities that ranged from analyzing mergers or acquisitions to training sales teams about the competitive landscape.  Dean participated in developing frameworks that help related pricing strategies.  He also worked with the demand side of the industry as an industry analyst, where he coached IT organizations through various selection, and relationship management.  Dean has traveled globally as an advisor to IT organizations, spoken at numerous events and forums worldwide, and trained CIOs on six continents.

Prior to neoIT, Dean was Vice President of Strategic Outsourcing at Nautilus Advisors where he established the research and publishing practice.  He began his career as a financial analyst for Sequent Computer Systems (now part of IBM) and quickly moved into competitive and strategic analysis, including sales training.  Dean joined META Group where he held several leardership roles from 1995 to 2005, rising to become a vice president and functioning as a lead analyst for outsourcing services.  During these years, the outsourcing market matured and evolved and his research expanded to include alignment with operations excellence (e.g. ITIL), commoditization of infrastructure, and the emergence of global sources as a force within the IT industry.

Dean has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and holds a Master’s of Business Administrative from the University of Connecticut.

Michael Serghiou is a veteran IT and BPO professional and brings over 20 years of IT and business consulting experience to neoIT.  His extensive skills include project management, systems/applications implementation, strategic planning, IT/IS management and general management.  Michael’s consulting and business experience include planning, implementation, and development and design of business systems and processes as well as IT/IS systems and processes, and covers numerous global delivery locations including US, India, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, China and Romania.

Prior to joining neoIT, Michael held senior management positions in companies such as Genpact, Prudential Securities, Liberty Brokerage and a major global consumer packaged goods company.  At these organizations, he managed various business unites and as a result, has gained a deep understanding of IT, technology, business processes and operations.  Michael’s domain expertise includes Consumer Goods, Retail and Financial Services.

Michael holds a Bachelors Degree in Management of Information Systems from Kennedy Western University and is working on a Masters Degree in Strategic Management.  He also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

Sandeep brings over 15 years of IT and business management experience. He has in-depth expertise in IT portfolio assessment, accelerated sourcing advisory, managed services outsourcing initiatives, transitioning multivendor model to single vendor model, setting up governance frameworks (for transition and steady states), defining management process frameworks for managed services initiatives, conceptualizing programs, software engineering and architecture, risk management, relationship management and managing remote, virtual and collocated program teams. His experience spans multiple industry verticals including life insurance, banking and financial services, telecom, high technology and publishing. Sandeep has worked with prominent clients in the US, UK, Scandinavia, Singapore and India including, Micron Technologies, Applied Materials, Phoenix Life Insurance, MetLife International, Computer Science Corporation (CSC), Mass Mutual, Mutual of New York (MONY), Equitable Assurance (AXA), Warburg Dillon Read (UBS), American Express, Ameritech, Tele Denmark, Citibank and Macmillan.

Sandeep started his career in 1993 with Macmillan India Ltd, as a software engineer.

Parul has over 15 years of business, leadership and consulting experience. She has wide-ranging expertise in HR, Organizational Development, Operations, Strategic Management and executing Global Service Delivery Models. She has worked with major global corporations including British Airways, Ameriprise, Avon, GE Financial Assurance and Electronic Arts. Parul’s domain expertise extends across diverse sectors and her experiences include working with banking and financial services, insurance and the travel industry.

Prior to joining neoIT, Parul held leadership positions at GE Capital and WNS Global Services- a Warburg Pincus company. She led client operations, HR and organizational development and launched various strategic initiatives in these roles. Parul also served on the leadership board of WNS. Her past professional experiences include stints at American Express and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Parul’s assignments include working in Hungary, China, United States, United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, India and Netherlands. She brings with her a terrific amalgamation of cultures, diversity and global experiences.

Parul attained her bachelor’s degree in English honors and Economics from Delhi University and is pursuing a master’s degree in Global Strategic Management. She is Six-Sigma Green Belt certified and has trained and coached on organizational leadership and change management. She is an active member of the ‘Women in Consulting’ group and ‘International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ organization.
