Stephen Garrison

Vice President of Marketing, Force 10


Stephen Garrison has more than 19 years of experience designing strategic marketing programs for the telecommunications and networking industries. Prior to becoming vice president of marketing, Garrison directed the company’s corporate marketing and customer activities. Prior to joining Force10 Networks, Garrison was the senior director of marketing at Riverstone Networks, where he was responsible for building customer programs. Earlier, he served as the director of marketing at Cabletron Systems. Garrison received a B.S. in ceramic science from Alfred University and an M.S. in materials science and engineering from MIT. He also holds four patents and sits on the board of directors for the Ethernet Alliance.

Previously, Joe was VP/editorial content at Microcast Communications; VP/editorial director at Ziff Davis Media; and a senior editor at InformationWeek. Joe has also developed integrated media programs for CFO magazine, FORTUNE and FORTUNE Small Business, and he has appeared frequently on CNN and CNBC to discuss business trends in Silicon Valley.



Mark Fabbi

Vice President, Gartner

Mark Fabbi is a vice president, distinguished analyst and leads Gartner's research in Enterprise Network Infrastructure. His research focuses on all aspects of enterprise network design, including network technologies, vendors and strategies. A key focus for Mr. Fabbi's research is to advise clients on improving application performance using emerging and innovative network technologies. In addition, Mr. Fabbi's research covers both physical and logical networking technologies for emerging IP data center optimization. Mr. Fabbi is also Gartner's lead analyst on Cisco.

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Fabbi worked for Bell Canada and affiliated companies in a variety of technical and marketing management positions. He played a leadership role in developing internetworking and managed network service offerings and established key channel relationships with the pioneers of the emerging internetworking market.

Being an analyst provides the intellectual freedom to explore important, but still emerging markets and technologies.
